Wendy W. Davis
The Hon. Wendy W. Davis is a judge for the Allen County Superior Court criminal division. Judge Davis brought the HOPE Probation Program to Allen Superior Court, which has been instrumental in reducing recidivism by non-violent, low level drug offenders, through positive behavioral change for those under court supervision.
Her prior legal experience includes being a partner at Beckman Lawson LLP; a deputy prosecuting attorney for the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office; an assistant criminal district attorney for the Bexar County (Texas) District Attorney’s Office; a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in San Antonio, Texas; and a law clerk for Dahlberg & Associates in Fort Wayne. Davis earned a law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Wheaton College.
Davis is a current board member of the Allen County Bar Association. Judge Davis also serves on the Mayor’s Cities United Task Force and is on the Board of Directors for Youth for Christ of Northeast Indiana and the FWBCC (Fort Wayne Base Community Council). In addition, she is a committee member of City Life Urban Ministries. Davis was honored with the Northeast Indiana Women in Leadership Award in 2006.
