Office of the President
At Indiana Tech, we pride ourselves on our dedication to the future – helping our students prepare for the careers of today and tomorrow, making sure our programs remain highly relevant and effective, and continually pursuing new opportunities to benefit everyone within the Warrior community.
Dedication to the future, however, is incomplete without an understanding of our history and how we’ve arrived where we are today. 2015-16 marks our 85th anniversary of providing career-focused education to students of all ages and backgrounds. Founded in Fort Wayne in 1930 with an entering class of 8 students, today Indiana Tech serves more than 8,000 students at locations throughout Indiana, Kentucky, and the Chicago metro area, as well as online students throughout the country.
Our university’s founder, John Kalbfleisch, could scarcely have imagined the breadth of programs and opportunities Tech is able to provide to students today. I am certain he would be highly proud of all that our students, alums, faculty and staff, and the university as a whole have accomplished over the years.
Throughout the year ahead, we will be celebrating our 85th with the entire Indiana Tech family. More important than reminiscing, however, is where the past 85 years have led us – to a place of strength and effectiveness in serving students, poised for continued growth and success, and focused on the road ahead.
Dr. Arthur E. Snyder
President, Indiana Tech
